Problems with adding content

For some reason, I cannot seem to figure out a method of "re-indexing" files and directories...
When I add new content to my DOWNLOADS directory, etc. it shows up at the BOTTOM of available downloads.
Although this isn't CRITICAL or anything, it would be a nice method of simplifying the visit for users.

Any suggestions???
