My webserver is also showing the external ip. I configured the router to forward the port I configured the webserver to listen on to the LAN machine carrying the webserver. There were a couple of setting on the router that also had to be configured to allow for DHCP and one other thing. It would depend on the type of router. The webserver needs the external ip and the router needs to configure the request from the external ip to the correct internal ip....
