Password Problem

I working on an Intranet. So I have some IP address.
I go to the control panel. Uncheck the password buttons. Try to launch the webpage(Is is http://localhost/index.html??). But asks for password.
What could be the problem? Again if have open the password manager the buttons are checked!!
Also somebody please tell me what URL on the browser
has to be given
