  Use Enable /cgi-bin directory
MyWebServer supports ONE cgi-bin directory for each server. It must be called cgi-bin and be located just UNDER the wwwroot directory. If this box is checked MyWebServer will attempt to execute any file that has a .exe extension. If you want to run a script in a language such as perl, you must set it up under the scripts configuration.

What's a CGI program? CGI programs do things that are impossible to do in an html page, such as sending email, retrieving data from a database, creating guest books, etc. CGI programs (or scripts) are run by web pages. They are always located in the cgi-bin directory. There are many pre-written CGI programs readily available on download sites. Look on our resources page for download sites.
